The Wolves laid the Blount Leopard to rest on Thursday during a "lunch-time" funeral service.    THe obituary from the Vigor Funeral Home states the following....

The "Mighty Leopard" was born in Prichard, Alabama in the early 1900's at Mattie T. Blount High School.  He departed this life Thursday, October 29, 2009.  His life ended suddenly when he was attacked and killed by a vicious pack of wolves.  There was absolutely no chance for survival.  The "Mighty Leopard" made the mistake of attending Blount High School. While there, he struggled in football, basketball, and baseball.  The "Mighty Leopard" is survived by a few remaining fans, devoted alumni, a host of well wishers for the rest of the season, the non-coaching staff and one or two close friends.  The "Mighty Leopard" will be laid to rest at a special grave side service tonight at Blount Stadium, hosted by the Vigor Wolves.
